About Kate

Kate Spooner is the author of the forthcoming domestic thriller Sleep While They Sleep (coming February 23, 2027 with Crooked Lane). Under her cozier alter-ego, Kate Lansing, she writes the award-winning Colorado Wine Mystery Series (Berkley).

Kate lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband, daughter, and two mischievous kitties. Her love of mysteries began when she first read From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and has grown from there.

She’s a Colorado Authors League Award Winner and Reader’s Choice Author for 5280 Magazine’s Top of the Town, and an essay she wrote about Millennial Cozy Mysteries for CrimeReads received over 20,000 views.
