Mulled to Death Cover Reveal
I’m so excited to share the cover for the third book in my Colorado Wine Mystery series, titled Mulled to Death!
A huge thank you to the very talented Samantha Dion Baker for the gorgeous illustration, and to the brilliant Berkley art team. I absolutely love the cozy vibes with the fireplace and steaming glasses of mulled wine, and of course the cat!
This installment follows Parker & co. on a ski getaway where Parker is hoping to mix business with pleasure by selling her mulled wine to the resort wine director. But her plans are muddled when she discovers the resort owner’s body on a treacherous portion of the ski trail. And while Zin (short for Zinfandel) remains in Boulder, fear not: there’s still plenty of feline mischief thanks to a pampered lodge kitty named Madeline!
The books are great fun. I love the wine theme because I’m a wine lover.
Thanks so much, Karen!! Thrilled to hear you’re enjoying them ❤️ Cheers!
Hi Kate,
I was happy to talk with you with our book club over Zoom about your first book. You mom gave me your second book which I really loved for all things wine, Boulder, wine, delicious descriptions of gourmet meals, wine, accounts of clothes worn, and, of course, Colorado scenery. I appreciated SO MUCH information about wine making and your analogies to wine in the texts in relation to the feelings of characters. The inclusion of the wine making processes elevates your books above the “cozy” class –no shade– that genre is quite popular and profitable, and are fun. Your characters are very likeable and I did not guess who the murderer was this time either. Now, I really need to go buy some wine. 😉
Hi Toni! Thanks so much for reading, and for your kind note <3 Thrilled to hear you enjoyed the second book! Wine analogies are some of my favorite to come up with, and it's been great fun getting to learn more about the process of winemaking through writing these stories. Cheers! 🙂
